Trust Me
"I told you to leave me alone. Are you stalking me?" I asked the little shits. "Of course not! Rude much?" Noah gasped, his hand over his heart. "I am truly wounded by your words." I rolled my eyes at his dramatic performance. "Well I am wounded by your presence! What the hell are you doing here?!" Lucas stepped towards me, hurt and confusion evident on his face. "We were just wondering how you were. Noah said you were in a lot of pain, and you looked so tired during class. We wanted to know if you were okay!" "Speak for yourself," Jackson snorted. "I actually don't care. At all." Jasmine has been bullied, abused, and hated since middle school. She's come to believe that people are cruel and untrustworthy. It's best to let them do what they want and pick yourself up when they leave you on the ground. When the trio of new boys arrive, Jasmine walks past without a glance. Her untrusting demeanor is something nobody has been able to break through. But the boys love a challenge. Meet Jackson, the bad boy, Lucas, the sweet one, and Noah, the clown. "Guys, I got another note," I say as I sit down at lunch. Vanessa and Xander were here but Hazel was missing. "Where's Hazel?" I question, eyeing her empty seat. "Out with Adam today, it's Friday," Xander says whilst I munch on my sandwich. "Did you say you got another note?" He asks and I hold my finger up and try to swallow my food as quickly I can so I can speak again. "Yeah, this one says, 'You look so beautiful in blue, I wish I could say this in person,' I really want to know who's playing this prank," I say and my eyes fall to the only prankster in Waterstone Academy, Sebastein. "I don't think it is Sebastien, he loves attention and this doesn't scream attention," Vanessa says as my eyes land on him. But my eyes move from Sebastien quickly to the hottest man in Waterstone, Vincent. He has been bugging me for a week, trying to talk to me and he even asked me to come to Logan's party on the weekend. My eyes must have been drilling holes into his face because he turns in my directions. I quickly turn back to Xander and Vanessa who were talking about their Art projects. "Okay, so if not Sebastien then who?" I voice my thoughts out loud. "Maybe you have a secret admirer," Xander says in all seriousness and I burst out laughing. My laugh attracts some attention because 1) it was loud, 2) I snorted. "Yeah right," I say once I sober up. *** A secret admirer. Everyone wishes they had one but not Amara. Permission to Touch You [Complete]
Jasper Alwood doesn't like being touched. Not by classmates. Not by teachers. Not by anyone. After years of keeping people at a distance, he's learned how to survive high school by staying quiet, staying invisible, and never letting anyone close enough to notice how badly he's falling apart. Violet Donovan is the opposite. An all-state wrestler with a reputation for intensity both on and off the mat, Violet has never hesitated to take up space or reach for the people she cares about. So when a sudden accident leaves Jasper panicking in front of her, Violet reacts on instinct. Jasper recoils from her touch immediately. What begins as a reluctant conversation turns into a fragile series of negotiated boundaries, hesitant confessions, and moments of contact that feel far more intimate than either of them is prepared for. A brush of fingers. A hand against a wrist. A simple hug. As Violet and Jasper grow closer, they discover that love isn't always about learning how to hold on. Sometimes, it's about learning how to be touched at all.Concluida
