June Higgs has hopped from home to home in the foster program. She wasn't troublesome, had emotional baggage or had some disorder like other kids who found a home. No, she was relatively normal. If your normal is fighting at school or having shut out the world to protect herself. But when she's ripped from her current foster home to be adopted by someone, things resurface that even her social worker doesn't know. Whoever adopted her is patient and is slowly breaking down June's walls. But what is she's built her walls so high not even she can escape them? What does she do when she wants to but can't?
