Ophelia has always seen creatures in the shadows that no one else could see. They stalked her through her native Rome and drew her into chaos. But still, she was never afraid of them, not until she was sent to the Institute.
There seems to be nothing left for her in Rome, except for her beloved sister who is suddenly losing her mind. Ophelia believes that her family is cursed and, after finding a mysterious letter from her long-lost father, she sets out to find him, hoping he can lift their curse and lead her to her sister's cure.
In her search she enters a world of magic, feuding families and far too handsome half-demons; a world that will steal her soul if she can't find a way to save her sister and herself.
All families have demons ... some are just more powerful than others.
