Kirito's hands trembled. Eugeo was growing paler with each passing second. He knew there wasn't enough time, but he must do something. He would not let his best friend die. After all, the world needed Eugeo, not him. 

He looked at the crystal tablet in the center of the room. He took a step towards it, eyes burning with determination. 

He had failed his friends once, and refused to make the same mistake again. 

Unbeknownst to himself, Kirito managed to alter the fate of the Underworld itself.
