a trixie and katya AU.

trixie and katya are male drag queens in this book, but i've used she/her pronouns when in drag and he/him pronouns when not. i hope that is okay!

"stranger" (yes, named after trixie's show-stopping Barbara hit!) is an AU that follows trixie and katya through the modern day drag scene in LA and NY. in the au, trixie and katya meet at the ages of 16 and 17, when trixie and her family have to stay with katya's family in boston in the 90s. high school drama, a storm, and the shared love for drag and performance brought them together. it is not doubt that they are hopelessly in love with one another. katya is in the midst of a mental breakdown, and turns into somebody trixie doesn't recognise. when bad memories of the past and violence, drugs and hatred seeps into their friendship, will they ever be able to recover into the innocent, teenagers consumed by their love for each other? 


TW: involves mentions of drug abuse, alcohol abuse, mental trauma, suicide, self harm.
