Iceland woke in a panic. Why had he remembered that now? He shivered as a sharp cold flooded over him, though it felt as his chest was on fire. "No...that was a long time ago, it doesn't matter now..." he tried to convince himself. "I should have never done that..."
This is based on the Death Theory - if you are unfamiliar, the Hetalia Death Theory is that the countries were once human, died, and woke up as a personification. I was doing a group role-play and this idea came to mind, and @peachykristopher on Instagram thought it would be good as a fanfic. Also, thanks to him for the parts involving Hanatamago!
