This is a series about secrets, sciences, crime, dreams, and body swapping.
The streets of San Francisco are ripe with crime, and every day is unique. And this is no different when the police are called in when 39 year old Lindsey Squire is found murdered in her home in the early morning.
Called in to solve the case is 26 year old Ronin Jaspert, whose stoic attitude and strict professional tendencies have made him out to be a loner, not making many friends in, or out of the work force. As Head Detective it is his duty to find out who is behind her murder, no matter how close to home the case is to him. Along with his goofy partner Patrick Rayston, Ronin has to brave many challenges- Mystery to why she was murdered, along with the fact that they may draw the attention of the authorities, Ronin has to be as efficient as possible.
But there is one tiny problem- On random days, he swaps bodies with another person, a paraplegic named Aletia Graham, a 25 year old who is determined to get her walking capabilities back, even at the contesting of many people and the fact she hasn't walked in 20 years. When swapped with the older male, she is determined to figure out the case, and Ronin himself, to validate to herself that she has not wasted her time. That she has made the right choices and that her dream is not a long shot.
What do two complete strangers that swap bodies randomly have in common? The fact that they were in the same lab accident that stripped Aletia's walking abilities.
Read along as Ronin struggles to avoid establishing a friendship with the female whom of which he is forced to interact with as he races to solve the case before Aletia gets herself, or rather, them both killed.
Set in 2023 on a parallel universe, fifteen patients in a drug experiment research facility have no choice but to fight against a mutated version of COVID-19 when researchers flee the building.
Some patients have the placebo drug, while others unknowingly have the deadly virus mutating in their bodies.
One thing isn't clear: Who has the virus, and who is killing off the rest?
