A boy by the name of Rylan wakes up one "regular" morning to his regular life. It's not so regular though, he gets bullied everyday, but it never got physical until now. Wham, by the blink of an eye, Rylan was down on the floor. His vision turned blurry, but it wasn't actually his eyesight. He just now, realized he could see 10 years into the bully's future! He could see his regrets, doubts, and life choices all in a few minutes. It was all so confusing, why did he not experience this when his mother hugged him each morning before school? He had to be in a negative mind, he soon realized. Anger and hate, sadness, and fear. His life was like a real mood ring, sometimes you never knew it you were upset or angry, and your mind turns red or blue depending on the packet. It was like his own superpower...you can't tell anyone because it's for your safety, or no one will understand. He thought he could tell his friend, who later left him and told other bullies. He was alone, no one to talk to, and worst of all, his secret was, for all he knew, probably around his high school. How will he cope for the rest of his high school years when they all knew he was this sick freak who knew if you were going to college, your job, and everything else in a 10 year span. It all started with a push.

Scholar

[COMPLETED] [Warning: Strong language used throughout the book.] He put his hand over my notebook and the other over mine. I glared up at him, his golden brown eyes catching my attention. "I can't write like this," I pointed out. "Is this all you care about?" Ryan asked. I shrugged. "Not this specifically, but yeah, I care about my grades." Ryan smirked. I swallowed nervously but refused to break my stoic expression. He leaned closer to me, my heart pounding so hard against my chest it felt like it might break out and fall on the table between us. His mouth was right by my ear, and I could feel his warm breath when he spoke which sent shivers down my spine. "Well, aren't you a little a scholar?" *** The only things Alex Moris ever cared about were his grades and his sister. However, when the boy his sister likes, Ryan Smithe, makes things complicated and causes him to feel things he's never felt before, Alex realizes that, maybe, there's more important things in life than grades and scholarships.
