Margo Sinclair has lived for centuries, cursed with immortality after an ancient ritual went wrong. Once a revered Elydian Queen, now she is a mysterious figure lurking in the shadows of high society. Margo is wealthy, powerful, and untouchable. With a heart hardened by centuries of loss, Margo has one rule: never get close to anyone. Mortals are fleeting, destined to die, leaving her alone every time. To distract herself from the loneliness that gnaws at her soul, Margo has taken up a dark hobby-hunting and eliminating criminals and society's lowest scum, dispensing her brand of justice in the shadows. It's the only thing that gives distraction, allowing her to channel her centuries of anger and frustration. But when Margo meets Aveline, a resilient and unapologetic sex worker shunned by society, her carefully constructed walls begin to crack. Aveline is everything Margo isn't. Aveline is fearless in her vulnerability, living life with a boldness Margo has long forgotten. Drawn to her in ways she can't explain, Margo faces a dilemma: stay distant and continue her endless, empty existence, or risk the agony of loss for a love that could finally make her feel alive again. As Margo grapples with her growing connection to Aveline, she must confront the demons of her past and the question that haunts her immortality: Is love worth the pain of inevitable loss? And can someone who has only known solitude truly open her heart when eternity is the price?

Blamed for a lethal disease she did not cause, a reclusive necromancer sets out to cure the sickness and save a town before any more victims perish. *** Draped in a cloak of blood and deemed a wicked monster, Evylyn is an immortal necromancer, feared enough to silence any mention of her name. As the accused source of a deadly disease, paired with her infamy in necromancy, she avoids the town of Ensceas at all costs. But Evylyn's fate is decided by a coin toss, and she's forced to break free from her chains of destiny, nearly paying with her life. She's rewarded by a bounty hunter tracking her down, hungry to give her the sanguinary death she deserves. In her eleventh hour, a fellow demigoddess gives her two things: a second chance, and a way to weasel her way into the hearts of those that despise her. Simply, she must remedy the incurable disease that she allegedly caused, preferably before the entire town of Ensceas falls victim to its sickness. Thankfully, Evylyn's infamy didn't come from thin air, and if there's anyone that can rival death, it's her. ----- ❈ ----- INCLUDES: ❈ Sapphic demigoddesses ❈ Badass sunshine x soft-hearted grump ❈ Magical, mysterious malady ❈ Cute baby animals FEATURED ON: ❈ @highfantasy Featured High Fantasy Stories, @OpenNovellaContest's Longlist ❈ @Fantasy, @Romance, @highfantasy, @darkfantasy, @mythandlegend, @StoriesUndiscovered 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝘿𝙖𝙩𝙚: 02/01/2023 𝙀𝙣𝙙 𝘿𝙖𝙩𝙚: 4/17/2023 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙙 𝘾𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩: 28k 𝙂𝙚𝙣𝙧𝙚𝙨: High Fantasy, Romance, Adventure 𝘾𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧: @ZoeAlamort © 2023 [First Edition]
