Leo was happy with his life. His girlfriend, his child, Matthew. That was until his wife caught a virus which led to her mutation, a monsterous being she had become, only for her to go missing days later... with the government closing all boarders off of his city. His son gets sick and upon being rushed to the hospital, they find the same illness which killed his girlfriend; now forming in his son. Katrina, his girlfriend, was obsessed with potion making and magical spells, all of which may have caused the virus. While he tries to discover the birth of the virus, more things begin to happen, leaving to global panic.
Leo's new goal is to leave the GTA with his 2-year-old son during the massive viral outbreak, which is stunted by the strict quarantine the government has enforced. The disease causes mutations and for creatures to adapt, turning them into monstrous beings that hunt the old streets of Toronto. The beings are intelligent and primalistic enough to hunt humans, the infected rates going up as the population begins to die out, slowly leading to one of the world's largest plagues yet. Leo and his Son, Matthew, fight for survival against different gangs and groups as they struggle to survive against hoards of infected. He only wants release from this dystopian land that the government ruled as utopia to hide the horrors while trying to find happiness for his child.
