The killing game, everyone dying, all of that was all fake. 
Everyone was still alive. And so, 15 (excluding Tsumugi) students live their lives as students of Hopes Peak Academy. 
Everyone was the same, everyone except for Kokichi. He always excluded himself from every gathering they had, something was bothering him. And if someone was going to figure it out, it was going to be Shuichi.
