Asteria Verena sits alone at the base of a mountain, The Throat of The World. Tending to the flames of her campfire, when a beam of light hits the ground, not far from her. When the light clears, she sees two men standing there. She stands and stalks towards the strange men. One of them sees her and throws a knife. She rolls out of the way and draws her bow. "Who are you?" She asks, the blonde one takes a step forward. "I am Thor. And you are?" She lowers her bow slightly, still on her guard. "Asteria."

He had two options for whom to declare as his heir and successor, but he asked just one other person... one warrior first and just before. Lady Drina hates being referred to as "Lady", when she is the daughter of Týr the God of Justice, single combat, and honor. Her title, is the Lady goddess of honorable combat and justice, although she is more often referred to by her title that everybody believes is self-imposed. Drina is known as the Defender of Odinsons, the two sons of Odin, Loki and Thor. Her older brother is Conor, the god of one on one combat, he would have you believe. Despite the fact of the matter, that his sibling continually bests him in all forms of combat, except for archery. Drina has only known one person who ever refused to refer to her by her rather bothersome and limiting title of 'Lady', since he was the only one who ever bothered to listen. Loki was the only one who listened, when even Conor shut her out of his life, following along a bit too eagerly with all of the rest. And in return, she refuses to accept that he was lying all of those years about who he was, and who she saw him as. "You are Loki, the Son of Odin." Drina said gently and she moved to step forward, despite negative emotions coming from every fiber of his being. "NO! No, I am not!!" Loki shouted and Drina took the smallest of steps back, which quieted him down and he looked out of the window opposite Drina. "If you are not Loki of Asgard, if you are not the boy that I grew up fighting alongside now, then who are you?" She asked softly. She stared into blood-red eyes and icy blue skin, as she shakes her head. "You are still Loki. I know it.

Ellie Jones was found in the burned remains of an apartment building, unharmed and unconscious. Ellie was found by two agents of SHIELD, and was brought to the Avengers tower. Unbeknownst to everybody, Loki would be arriving the same day, banished from Asgard for trying to take over Earth. Ellie has the power of fire, yet is venerable because she is blind. *i got my idea for Ellie from the book Frost blood* *will be posting every week* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It's been 10 days since the girl last left her room, and everybody is worried. Everybody except me, of course, because why would I be worried about a boring mortal? As I'm reading my book, I see everybody staring at me. I know that it is smart for them to not trust me, but my god. Your stares are making me uncomfortable, Lady Natasha. I try to shift into a more comfortable position, but give up after 5 minutes. "Can you stop staring at me?" I ask, glaring at Natasha. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Several minutes later, I'm sitting on a couch, my knees huddled to my chest. "You good?" Natasha says. I nod, trying to figure out who was in the room. I listen to the conversations going on around me, jumping from one to another. As I listen to Natasha's conversation, I hear the light footfalls of somebody trying to sneak through the room. I quietly and slowly get up, following the sound of the footsteps. I hear them falter, then stop altogether. I swing my arms around me, trying to get my bearings when I smack the wall with my hand. "Hello?" I say. I listen, but only hear silence. Great, I'm lost and I'm in an unfamiliar place. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Within twenty-four hours, thirteen year old Thea Fossil's life has been turned upside down. She arrives home late one night to find her astrophysicist mother dead, and she and her little sister are wounded by a mysterious poison from an unknown race of aliens called Imeldi. The next time she wakes up, she is in a SHIELD base, and is surrounded by a crowd of unusual characters that wary Thea has a hard time trusting, particularly when she has just been orphaned. There is Thor, the compassionate yet slightly intimidating Asgardian, but she considers him too eager to please. Natasha Romanoff and Clint Barton both are too shadowy and curt for Thea to put her faith in. Tony Stark, she finds humorous, but at times self-centered and bossy. Dr. Banner, Thea admires, but his own dangerous secret is known to her. And Steve Rogers is far too upbeat for Thea's generally pessimistic liking. And then there is one other person. Someone with a tongue of wit, a personality of iron, and a mind as complicated as Gordian's Knot- just like Thea. Someone who knows how to soothe her fears just as quickly as he knows how to get under her skin. The person that is perhaps the most untrustworthy, but whom little Thea may begin to trust the most. Loki. But even if Thea can begin to trust, and to work as a team, the threat of the Imeldi is still potent and long-fingered. Thea must learn to control her new powers, her temper, and her hidden fire if she wants to survive this. Particularly because the Imeldi want two things. Global revenge. And Thea. RATED PG-13: For interval language (d*mn, as*, h*ll) and violence.

AN: This story will have mature themes and may be triggering, ie: smut, violence, etc. She always enjoyed her weekly walk through the park, no matter the time of year. It made her happy that the cold weather tended to make the park less crowded than usual as she continued to walk her favorite path that would lead her to a large empty field of grass that held her favorite shade tree. When she got there Emily's brown eyes lit up at the blanket of snow that sparkled and shimmered on the ground, untouched by others trampling through it. When she eyed her spot under her tree, she made her way to it and cleared a space from the snow, so she could sit on the ground comfortably. Once Emily was curled up on the ground against the side of the tree, she pulled a book from her knapsack and began to read. There's nothing like spending the first couple of hours reading under my tree after a whole week at work. Emily got lost in the pages of her book until she noticed she kept sniffling from the cold and was wiping her nose against her heavy coat, which made her loop up to see the sky had turned to twilight. "Shit!" She growled as she bookmarked the page she left off from and stiffly stood as she shoved the book into her bag. "Davis is going to wonder where the hell I am." She made her way back to the path when a flash of white light made her shield her eyes. "What the hell was that?" She looked around, blinking black spots from her vision when she noticed there was a huge circle in the field that was now completely free of snow and in the center of it, lay a man wearing green and gold.
