I'm tired of Lex always being judged and not really given a fair chance in smallville even though Clark was his friend he always held back or didn't fully trust Lex so I thought of some ideas to give Lex a chance and get his happy ending and to prove to everyone that they were wrong about him 

I think once Lex loves someone he does with his whole being and won't do anything thing to truly hurt them that's why I don't think he really loved Lana he was just infatuated with her
