Zadra's life is a blur of half-memories and fugue states. She surrounds herself with scribbled notes and scrawls her name on her arm in marker just so she doesn't forget.

She doesn't remember what she's not supposed to forget, though.

One day, she chooses to remember, and everything becomes crystal clear.

She's the Vessel, the one divinely chosen to rule the magical realm of Alleeathar.

Alleeathar, a land destroyed by the warlord Goblin King Calix, burned to rubble by treachery.

By Zadra's treachery.

She's given a chance, one last chance, to save Alleeathar from the ruthless King Calix. Her last act as the Vessel Queen was the place a curse on both Calix and herself. If she can break the curse, she can save Alleeathar.

Zadra's resolve is undermined by remnants of her past. She allowed Alleeathar to crumble because she fell in love.

She fell in love with none other than Calix himself.

Feyra has always known that her magic comes at a cost. Every time she heals, she takes the wound into herself-burning it into her skin, into her bones, into the scar over her heart that never truly fades. But pain is a small price to pay to protect the people she loves. Especially Mila-her best friend, her constant, her heart-sister. At the Academy, students train to bond with wyverns, master ancient magic, and survive the politics of bloodlines and power. But when Mila's shapeshifting demon heritage spirals out of control during a training trial, Feyra is forced to push her power further than she ever has before-nearly losing her life to pull Mila back from the brink. Now recovery is slow, the pain is unrelenting... and everyone has questions. Including Zeraph-the new third-year leader with a reputation sharp enough to cut. Stoic, disciplined, and carved from controlled fire, he believes Feyra's sacrifice was reckless. She believes he doesn't understand what loyalty means. And Zero-her closest friend and constant defender-has no intention of letting Zeraph dictate anything. But Feyra's scars are changing. Mila's demon forms grow harder to control. And deep beneath the school, in the old wyvern tunnels, something ancient has begun to stir-responding to Feyra's mark... and to the bond between them. Some magic binds. Some magic burns. Some magic was never meant to exist. And the price of saving each other may be becoming the very thing everyone fears.

In a kingdom on the brink of collapse, Eleanor is expected to become the long-lost princess destined to save it. But she isn't royalty. She's a doctor-trained to heal with science, not spells. As she struggles to survive in a world she doesn't understand, Eleanor finds herself drawn into a dangerous alliance with an infamous duke whose reputation is as dark as his secrets. The closer they grow, the more she realizes that saving the kingdom may demand more than magic-it may demand her heart. Caught between the life she knows and the destiny she never asked for, Eleanor must choose: Will she remain a healer bound by reason... or embrace a crown forged by prophecy before the kingdom falls?
