It's no surprise that Doctor Robotnik has trouble expressing his emotions, or just dealing with them in general. 

You see, sometimes he has what he calls "Vulnerable Moments", which is him going mute and needing to cuddle something-- or someone.

Enter his favorite assistant, Agent stone. He is the only one who has seen him like that, and to be fair, the only one who could handle it.
