A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...
The first order has risen again from the ashes of their past escapades. They are now even stronger than they ever were before. Kylo Ren has taken command of the First Order, and has assumed his place as Supreme Leader after Snoke was killed. The First Order has control of several sectors of the galaxy, punishing anyone who steps foot on their owned soil. This was Nova's first, and only mistake.
Nova - a lowly girl from Kashic - went in pursuit of a long since forgotten Jedi temple, in hopes that it could tell her what she needs to know about her past. But little does she know, the planet the temple is located on is owned by the First Order, and she is captured for trespassing on restricted land. Nova falls to the hands of Kylo Ren, and she must fight to ensure her and her family's safety, as well as the safety of the people she has unintentionally put in danger. 
With a secret that could expose everyone, and a past that could kill her, Nova must navigate the treacherous battlefield that is the First Order - all while burying unacceptable feelings for the man that can read her mind, and lead to her demise.

As the new Supreme Leader takes the throne, the First Order is focused on finding and destroying all who oppose them. The Resistance had disappeared into hiding and desperation has forced them to explore the gray areas of war. Meanwhile, on opposite sides of the war, Rey and Kylo Ren are forced to face the realities of their bond, their complicated relationship, their loyalty to their causes, and their understanding of the Force. Could their star-crossed connection be tied to the fate of the galaxy? This is a slow burn! Enemies to friends to lovers. This story continues the arcs and themes beautifully woven through The Last Jedi, as well as the narrative from the previous two trilogies. All plot elements are intended to be canon-compliant through TLJ. This is 100% complete. It was completed in December 2019 on A03 before The Rise of Skywalker was released, so this is not a "fix-it" fic as much as an alternative to Episode IX. This is a dark story.
