He ran to Yandere High School in a frantic attempt to escape his parents, and *him*. Unfortunate for Grian though, Sam followed. And so, he ran again, using his Watcher powers he always feared so much to his advantage. Grian landed in Hermitcraft, where he was finally free to be himself.. kind of. Some hermits never trusted him much, others welcomed his company. However, they were absolutely terrified of Watchers. They *hated* watchers. When Season 7 rolled around, Grian feels something isn't right. He doesn't know whether he should drop his "always happy!" act, or whether he should call for help. There is no way of saying how many years have passed, nor how many will. However, the saying remains the same: "Yesterday was history, Tomorrow is a mystery, But today is a gift. That is why it is called the present." =+=+=+= This is another Hermitcraft fanfiction, set in a season eight/nine AU (Evolution-EmpiresS1-HCS8-HCS9-Watcher AU). I don't own any of the characters; they belong to the Hermits as their Minecraft Personas. This book also sporadically features Evolution and Empires SMP characters. Pearl is the main character, but there are a few backstories followed as well. The first part of the chapter will always be Pearl, and the second a backstory (with a few exceptions when the chapter gets extra-long). Answer the chapter questions if you feel like it, even if you live in the mysterious future. I don't ship. I'm not certain about the hermit preferences, so I'd prefer to leave that to them and portray all of them as amazing friends (which they are). =+=+=+= There will be angst to satisfy your hunger. Grian was getting used to the safety of the Hermitcraft server quite well. He still had bad days in which all the memories of his high school life came back to him and ate away at his mind. However, he also had good days, when he could spend time with his friends and live happily, normally. On one of his bad days though, he finds a white bunny with a nametag reading 'Sam' wrapped around it's neck. It was an accident, surely, probably part of Stress's shenanigans. Probably just a coincidence that the handwriting spelling the name looked like someone else's... someone from Grian's past. But Grian wasn't thinking of what it probably was when he ran. But it turns out, running has consequences. OR Samgladiator joined the game A YHS/Hermicraft fanfic, involves very mild Grumbo shipping but you can read it as purely platonic if that's what you want. Trigger warnings are: death (not permadeath), knives, stabbing, abuse, fighting, manipulation, PTSD, Sam being Sam, blood and general angsty stuff. Don't worry though, it has a happy ending! Also yes my front cover and chapter titles are very imaginative. Word count: approx 10200
