Q is a young man of little consequence who, after a series of magical incidents, is thrust into the role of a fairytale hero. However, this is not a normal fairytale. This is a fairytale for bad people, people such as you and I who love to revel in the folly of humanity and its brethren, and who turn up our noses at the very notion of heroism. For, though poor Q is indeed our hero, he will soon find himself and his companions to be much less heroic than he should like, and our villains to be much nastier than he can face.
