Heart aching, lungs burning, throat clenching and stomach fluttering. Dante accepted the fact that he was never going to be one of Them.
He was too...imperfect.
"See, told you; you're not going to be one of Them. Ever"
"Shut up, Nat, you're not helping"
Natalia had been following Dante since he was 8. Never left his side, just like a good friend should. Best of friends, they were inseparable. Literally.
Natalia is but a mere voice. Yet, she made him feel powerless; constantly bringing up the past, Dante's stupid mistakes and his insecurities.
"Oh are we not about the truth now? What happened to the "I'd rather be told the painful truth than a beautiful lie" you said two years ago? "
Dante yearned for peace of mind. With Natalia, it was straight up impossible.
Yet, Natalia made Dante feel, accompanied.
Besides leaving him exasperated, distressed and rolling on the floor, bawling his eyes out, of course.
There was no way that Dante could get rid of Natalia, it would bring too many disadvantages. Natalia was, of course, Dante's only companion.
Dante was going to have to live with her, work around her and show her who's in charge.
But that's easier said that done...

"Don't you see now why we can't be together?" I whispered at the crazy boy in front of me. "Aren't you repulsed by me? Disgusted? Dis interested? Can't you just tear my heart out and leave like any other normal teenage boy?" My voice cracked. He simply shook his head. I sit down on my bike looking around the school parking lot. Listening to music, I stand up begin to walk through the student-less parking lot. Honestly, it's not like I meant to be late. My music cut out causing me to hear a whistle. I stop in my tracks and pull my headphones down to my neck. Turning around, I seen a group of men with one guy who just smirked at me. "You new here beautiful?" one of the guys asked. "What do you think Einstein?" cocking my brow. "Ohh. Challenging? I like." he says walking towards me, about two inches away. "Really?" biting my lip, as he continued walking towards me. He reaches out and grabs my hip, "Mmhmm," smiling down at me. Swiftly, I grab his hand, turn him around, kick him right above the back of his knee, and pushes down so he's on his knees in front of me in a position of which I could brake his arm, "What a shame, 'cause personally, I don't like fuck boys with various STD'S." I look at all the men in the group who had their jaws dropped, all except for one, "Touch me one more time, and I'll brake your arm in two." I stand and kick his back so he falls on the concert. "Anyone else?" they stare at me blankly. "Didn't think so." When fuck boy tries to get up, I take my foot and slam him back down. Looking back at the boys, I say, "Later boys." And in her eyes, I saw a story, a story I very much would like to know about. Her eyes were like dark pools of chocolate coaxing me to take a dive. And I very much wanted to take the plunge and drown in them. Obviously, it was not what she waited for me to say at that moment and whatever connection had began was just as quickly DISconnected , because she gave me, what I'm assuming was supposed to be a death glare, but really she just managed to look cute with her little nose scrunched up.
