Flower Daughter

A small and simple act of kindness can result in a life-changing reward.

In a small village, within the meadow region on Asteria, during the coldest part of winter, a young couple help an old woman in need. In return, the woman gives them a lotus bud. The couple nurture the bud in a small dish of water. On the first day of spring, the flower's petals open revealing a happy baby girl with hair the color of rich soil, lips redder than a rose, cheeks as pink as the lotus from which she was born, eyes blue as a summer sky, and a smile brighter than the sun.
