In Kokai, Cole was a very mysterious character. We had no idea what was happening to him until the big reveal. This story however, tells a whole background to Cole. What was happening to Cole? What was going through his head? How did Cole react to his friends rude behavior?

Cole never thought the place he hated most in the world would be where he met the person he cared the most about. That was until he met renowned vlogger Kai when visiting the hospital his mother passed away in. Kai always felt lonely, stranded in the hospital. He loved writing about a faraway world called Ninjago though, which had always been a welcome distraction from his cancer. When he met Cole, it was like life had meaning again. Beautiful things can happen in unlikely places. ((Note)) I changed the story rating to Mature because another fic of mine with similar levels of content (mostly gore, mentions of sensitive topics and the like) is on mature rating. (May have huge gaps between upload times but this story will be finished, that I can promise) Everyone thinks of Kai as a selfish person who puts himself before others and many other negative things. As Kai's time as a ninja, he always heard these comments and he couldn't do anything about it so he has to bottle his feelings whenever people say this. One day when he was on a mission with Cole to save some adventurous that got stuck in a narrow cave a disaster struck on Kai. After the mission Cole got all the thanks and Kai got none, Cole was the only one who truly understood what happened. Kai gets sick of how he is being treated and leaves to have a walk to take his mind off of things... but then he meets someone he didn't expect to meet... Non-canon ships are not implied but take it as you wish, just not greenflame because no.
