Infused with a mysterious, dark power, the lizard-men race of the balisekts invades the civilized territories with an overwhelming force. No one knows the source of their black magic, but it seems tied to a mysterious girl found in the woods. She has no memory of who she is or where she came from, but she is infused with the ability to make things grow at her will. The tribes of the Lands of Order hope to use her abilities to bring them prosperity, while the balisekts seek to make her a weapon of war.

Though this qest is honorable and righteous, the dangers that await them are exponentially worse than they could ever imagine. Whether they can save the world depends on whether they can survive themselves. Mature rating for blood, gore and depictions of violence. TW: mentions of drunkards and beer, mention of physical abuses, a description of trypophobia, claustrophobia, and other phobias, and descriptions of nasty cryptids. There is no depictions or allusions of sex, no f-bombs, or drug abuse. This story was started when I was in seventh grade. I finished the original when I was a senior in high school. Displeased with the finished product, I began to rewrite it here, starting June 2015, then again in 2020. I am quite satisfied with the result, and am sure this will be the final edition. This isn't the first book of the series, but there's no spoilers for 'The World is Larger than it Seems', so you can start on this one. The story is far from finished, however, and I hope to eventually finish the series.
