In 2015, I quit my digital marketing job at Nike to take a solo road trip around the country, funded by driving for Lyft in each of the cities I stopped in. In the beginning, I thought that driving for Lyft was simply the key to supporting the trip financially. However, I soon found that the dynamic of having strangers jump into my car to talk about life for 20 minutes or so, under the context that we would probably never speak again, was the most powerful piece of my year off. I was so inspired by my passengers that I wrote a book about them, called We're All Going to Die: Lessons Learned From My Year Road Tripping As a Lyft Driver.

My passengers became my biggest teachers in what, lo and behold, turned out to be a year of personal growth and self-discovery. I learned the value of more listening and less ego. I saw how hungry people are for real human connection and conversation in a world more digitally connected and emotionally isolated than ever. I took the time to face my own issues, including my father's suicide five years earlier. I began to understand how important it is to be human - to feel your emotions, to share those feelings with others, and to find lightness and humor in the hard stuff. What became most obvious to me was that at end of the day, we're all going to die anyway. This book is a story about my personal growth, supported by the stories of the many people who trusted me enough to jump into my car and open up their hearts to me.

Have you ever been in a situation where a one night stand mistake changes your entire life? *** "And what if I remember you or what happened that very day, that doesn't prove I'm responsible for that life growing inside you." He said, glaring down at me. I seriously can't believe this punk! "Are you trying to say I'm some slut?" "I don't know, you tell me." He said, still glaring down at me. I felt my rage rushing into my head, blocking my sense of reasoning at this moment. "You really have some nerve to refer to me as some slut, but no matter how hard you try to put or twist it to your story. It still doesn't change the fact and truth of this situation. You are responsible for this baby!" I yelled in anger. I saw a surprise look flash through his face, but he immediately covered it up and took a step back. Resting his hip on his desk, and putting both hands into his pants pocket. "Fine. How much will it take you to remove that, and after removing it?" He asked. My eyes went wide when I understood what he was talking about. He's not only an egoistic punk, but a very heartless human being. "You must be going out of your mind if you think I'll abort this child!" I half yelled at him in anger, but it seemed like my words weren't making much of an impact on him. "Why are you trying to make things more difficult for yourself? You know that night was a mistake, so why are you trying to make it such a big deal to ruin my reputation?" He said, angry. I felt hurt by his words. It was all a mistake, but it created another life growing inside me. Why do I even feel hurt? I'm not meant to be.. *** This book completed version is available on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/His-Surrogate-Heartbreak-pregnant-surrogacy-ebook/dp/B0D7SWRD4L/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1D978HK16N5GU&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.n3u7OtM5D9DGktqVEQHViw.rizlbZnq74jWRky4eCjm4Gd9B6Au_0_tnAKY2DWr4Iw&dib_tag=se&keywords=Books+by+Theodora+Chijioke&qid=1719145082&sprefix=books+by+theodora+chijioke+%2Caps%2C1662&sr=8-1

#4 in the Doctor series When are you divorcing me?" He did nothing but stare in shock, surprise, and something else-which he shouldn't-yes, he shouldn't feel hurt. There is no vitality or existence in this relationship, and we are drifting like two birds with no destination. "You seem to be in haste to get rid of me?" he questioned otherwise. "It's better for both of us... I mean for three of us. I feel bad that instead of knowing you love someone else, I married you. Maybe if I tried to speak with Dadu, he would have understood it. He would have been angry but knowing that his children's happiness lies in someone else, he could have understood it sooner or later." I thought this wedding wouldn't affect me. I will mind my job but know things have changed. I... I started to love him which I can't say to him. He will never leave the girl he was in love with for 3 years for a relationship of 10 days and that's me. "Can you be without me?" I perceived a drop of rain falling on me I don't know why did he ask me that. And from where this question came? Maybe I will be shattered into pieces, Ekansh. But I acted most weirdly. I laughed at him. "You are saying as if we have been together for years. Come on Ekansh, I am not a love-sick girl." He caught my wrist gently and made me stare at him. "Then, I will divorce you very soon!" He muttered against my face and he sounded angry again. *** Bond to him streams about the couple whose wedding was fixed by their elders when they were kids. Growing up, their thoughts, views, and interests drastically changed. They were on different paths in life. Neither of them was fond of each other until the topic of the wedding was brought up.

Memoirs of A Healer/Clinical Social Worker: Autobiography of Bruce Whealton by BruceWhealton

A healer. A survivor. A victim of profound injustice. How does someone who has dedicated their life to helping others find the strength to heal themselves after losing everything? In December 2019, I woke up in a psychiatric hospital following a suicide attempt. A simple conversation with another patient sparked a shift within me-a glimmer of clarity that would change the course of my life. But how did I end up there? What devastation could drive a loving spouse, a therapist, and a lifelong survivor to the edge of despair? This book unravels the journey that led me to that breaking point and how I found the strength to keep living. My story is one of triumph and tragedy-of overcoming paralyzing shyness and social anxiety to become a psychotherapist, only to have my life shattered by unimaginable injustice. Between 2000 and 2006, I lost everything I had built: my home, my career, my community, and the love that once gave my life meaning. The destruction was sudden, like a meteor crashing down, and the aftermath left me in ruins. Worse still, the world condemned me as a villain when I was only ever a victim. But this is not just a story of loss. It is a story of survival, of how I faced the darkness and chose to keep living. It is a testament to how love, hope, and the power of connection can guide us through even the longest night. Through this memoir, I share not only my pain but also my triumphs-the moments of joy, love, and meaning that kept me fighting for life. I write this book for anyone who has ever felt unseen, unheard, or unjustly condemned. I write it to show that healing is possible, that our stories matter, and that no matter how broken we feel, there is always a path forward. This is my story. But it is also a story of hope-for you, for me, and for anyone who has ever longed for justice, healing, and love.

Hi there, I'm JD, a 31-year-old Venezuelan-Spanish Economist living in Barcelona with my Russian (pro-peace) wife Anna and our two kittens; we met in Italy eight years ago, and almost since then we have been working on this project. During our careers we've worked with people from South America to Japan, from Australia to Canada, from South Africa to Norway, the characters in the novel are based on people I was lucky enough to meet along the way who left me with invaluable lessons which we feel the duty and privilege of sharing with our fellow humans, hopefully sharing what cosmologists call "Space Bias". There are seven main protagonists each one with their own chapter - which can be read in whichever order you prefer, - two of them in present tense and the rest in past, it's all part of the story. They all have mixed backgrounds such as a Japanese father and a Taiwanese mother, a survivor of the Rwanda massacre, a Colombian with Lebanese and Portuguese ancestry, a Danish whose mother is German, a Jewish lady married to a Muslim man she met in Jerusalem, an Anglo-Indian guy inspired in a way in Orwell - character name is Arthur such as Orwell's real name, - and last but definitely not least a Turkish Muslim bisexual woman for which a Lebanese friend for work is providing help; my friend is working on her Ph.D. on gender inequality in politics, especially in countries with religious civil wars that have moved from the streets to parliament. The story's Universe - 7 trillion light-years, approximately 78 times the size of our observable universe and 252 times the size of a Hubble sphere - provides more than enough civilizations to present dystopias that can serve as warnings for the future - ideally in the style of 1984, A Brave New World, or Fahrenheit 451, - as well as utopias where we find A.E.I - Artificial Emotional Intelligence - along with futuristic ways of understanding childhood, education, and life itself.
