❝ Temperance is the outlier of Forks' High School - the one girl people recognise but never take the time to remember. She followed her friends blindly in hopes she'd be included time and time again. She would squeeze into the tiniest dresses and tops, in hopes of gaining a second glance from someone.

Perhaps if Temperance shared the confidence and charisma with her sister, she could've avoided stumbling into the back of the boy in constant agony. If only she hadn't asked her sister to borrow her shirt, she would have seen him stop in front of her instead of looking down at the one button that kept opening.

According to Temperance, her interaction with him was an accident and could've been easily avoided. However, she never had the chance to avoid crashing into his life. Temperance only wanted to be noticed by him but in return entered a life of blood sucking immortals and temperamental wolf boys.

If only she had known, he saw her as clear as day all along and that day in the hallway only cemented their path. ❞
