April of 1918 the Romanov family finds themselves difficult to adjust to their new isolating life in the small quiet village of Yekaterinburg. Tall wooden fences surround the their new prison, white washed windows so they cannot see the outside. The isolation feels unbearable especially to the young grand duchesses, fear surrounds the family everyday of what will become of their lives, worst of all the new guards are not as polite as they should be.
