The Untamed: A Great Odyssey

In the sixteen years since the siege of the Burial Mounds and the death of the infamous Yiling Patriarch, many auspicious events have arisen.

Following the reincarnation of Wei Wuxian into Mo Xuanyu and the eventual destruction of Jin Guangyao at Guanyin Temple, the cultivating world celebrated, seeing such things as a sign life would resume to its respectful pace. The truth, however, could not be any more different.

After the devastating attack on her hometown at the hands of dark-clad ghosts, sixteen year-old Li Xiangyun embarks on a quest to discover the truth behind similar attacks happening in cities in frighteningly quick succession. As a young girl without a Golden Core, she is mocked and taunted wherever she goes, suffering at the hands of those who jeer at her questionable backgrounds.

What will her fate be, however, when she stumbles upon the gregarious Wei Wuxian and his respectable partner-in-crime, Lan Wangji, along with the mischievous juniors of the top sects?

Will they be able to discover the truth behind the monsters running rampant in the cultivating world? Or is there a higher, darker power at work...

Author's Note: As a person who loves to read books people have written based on 'Mo Dao Zu Shi' and 'The Untamed', I noticed that many of the female characters were powerful, badass and possessed strong Golden Cores. This made me think: what if there was a main character who actually didn't possess a Golden Core in the first place? How would their story play out? What if they didn't have many heroic qualities at all?
I feel like this book is my way of answering these questions for myself. Hopefully, you'll enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it! :)
