Islam has two primary sources. First is the ǫᴜʀᴀɴ which is the direct word of God inspired to the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. The second source is the Prophet's teachings. These teachings include his words, actions, and things he approved of. The Prophet's teachings are called Sunna. The Sunna is found in texts called ḥadīth.

Many of our peers don't understand many of the things that we do, the way we dress, the things we eat, they don't really get why we do it.
