After being moved from their former foster home in Detroit to one in the valleys of Alaska, Shiomara and her 5 year old blood brother Miles discover that the blue lights coming from the river in the back yard aren't the fluorescent fish everyone has been telling them about.

I was kicked around like trash on the streets. I was the book that nobody could understand or read, but without a care, they were quick to rip out the pages.
