This is a story my classmate made and asked me to post.
For them most part, it was a normal day. Kids were laughing, the wind was blowing a soft breeze, and the sun shown a golden hue that was like a warm kiss on your face. That is, unless you're in a cold corner listening to a bunch of dead people bicker. "I'm just saying, peeps manipulate kids into eating animals!". "They are literally marshmallows!" That was Aristotle and Rayne. They were known to Maeve as the bicker twins. To prove this point, when she told them that was their nickname, they started to fight on whether or not it was accurate. "Can we please not have this dumb of a discussion?" That was Alden.
Alden was the first ghost Maeve ever saw. He was usually the more logical side of the five ghosts. The other two ghosts sat minding their own business not caring about the argument happening in front of them. Xavier and Schyler were an odd pair. They had never known each other until they got attached to Maeve's soul. Schyler was extremely quiet and while she is able to talk, (she talks to Maeve very quietly) she always uses sign language and at some points Morse code. She is the exact opposite of Xavier who is one of the most out-going spirits (haha, get it?) you will (n)ever meet. He had apparently taken theater and was well known when he was alive.
When Jane Madarang's neighbor Natalie kills herself and leaves behind cryptic instructions, it's up to Jane and her classmates to unearth deadly secrets.
*****
Natalie Driscoll is dead.
