My whole life I've never looked at another person and thought I want them. Especially not in a romantic sense. I long have given up on getting a crush. On anyone. I readily identified as asexual. Maybe even a-romantic. That's how my friend knew me. Me, Maeve, the weird little ace who never got dirty jokes and hated physical contact. I always thought I would remain unmarried. That a part of me was fundamentally different. That I was incapable of loving another person, especially in a sexual or romantic sense. But of course the Gods just had to prove me wrong.
