"Every great love starts with a great story, our story just happened to be told in green and grey." . . . .Azai Embers is a one of a kind elemental, along with her twin sister Jada of course. Being shielded from the world all her life, she is soon thrown into the drama of love, boys, and college where she meets Aaron Albero. Aaron Albero is the cliche "playboy" that your parents warned you about. Taking the mafia over at the young age of 18, he's been living life as colorless as an elemental. That is until he meets Azai, the feisty new girl who never listens to what he says and doesn't know what a licorice is. Whenever Azai and Jada first meets Aaron and Eric at the front office of their University, their fate has already been decided. The only thing left was for them to get through the journey as smoothly as possible. But for this particular love story, easy was never an option. ... The Aid

*MAJOR EDITS/REWRITE IN PROGRESS* Evie has dealt with her fair share of traumatic events, and she just wants to focus on college and her beloved paintbrushes and bass guitar. Harry is just beginning to deal with the most traumatic events of his life: cancer and the American healthcare system, respectively. The two fellow students meet on a bus when Harry notices a stranger following her, and he walks her home to make sure she's safe. Months later, when she learns about his diagnosis, Evie returns the favor in the only way that makes sense: by marrying him. It's meant to be just on paper. She's merely helping him out financially through her mom's health insurance plan. Neither of them expects this simple favor to come with growing worry that turns into a reluctant friendship, which then spirals completely out of control before either can stop it. But it does, and now they're dealing with it in their own unique ways: Evie ignores it, and Harry ignores her ignoring it. // TW: cancer, strong language, alcohol/underage drinking, mentions of substance abuse, mentions of physical abuse, sexual content
