Alexander lives in a perfect world. Your whole life is laid before you the day you take your LOCHO (Love, Occupation, Children, Housing, Other) test. To make matching easier, humans were genetically engineered to only see one color, the color of their matches with the most potential. After his test, he's matched with a girl named Eliza. She seems nice enough, but not exactly right. But he's certain that they'll fall in love someday.
Until he wasn't certain at all.
"Isn't the sky so beautiful? I just love our color." She said, smiling and gazing up above.
Eliza can see blue. The color of deep oceans. The color of the sky on a clear day. The color of his mother's eyes, she had said, while gazing upon a picture of her.
Alexander can see green. The color of the nature surrounding them. The color that followed him everywhere. The color that seemed to suffocate him, knowing something had gone wrong.
Only when he confided in his best friend, John, did he realize who he was really meant for. Perhaps he realized it too.

I also know this is probably crappy, and ive changed some details, such as Lafayette being three years older than Laurens instead of three years younger, and ive made relations between characters that aren't real.
