Rapunzel always hated her name. Especially when her mother would use it. She wanted to face the world head on, but when she's locked in the world of her mother, she feels trapped and like she has to obey her every word.
Until one day when she's able to escape. She crawls on the roof and forces her way out, trying to do whatever she can to make her own way in the world again.
A modern retelling VERY loosely based on the Rapunzel fairytale.

This is a very old tale of The Brother's Grimm, almost 200 years old, or possibly more. This tale is about a young girl who was born with very, very long hair, who was kidnapped at birth by a wicked, old hag. There are many versions of this tale, such as the King stealing lettuce from the hag's garden, and as a punishment the hag took his newborn daughter. Some involve the hag stealing the baby because of it's beauty and youth. Though many versions of this tale has been told over the years, the plot remains the same. It was about a young girl with long hair who was kidnapped at a young age by an old hag, and then confined in a tower with only one window. This version of the tale involves the hag's past. This is the tale of love, loss, and grief. And of course, a little bit of magic.Zakończone

She told stories no one wanted to believe. Tales of torture and suffering beyond their comprehension. So she was branded insane and bunched up with the rest of the lunatics and shipped off to be stored in a cold castle full of shackles and screams. There she would be re-educated, taught the proper way to behave, and ridded of her nasty ways. It would be a rough start. Everyone always had rough starts. At first she would fight and scream. But eventually she would see the light and be grateful that she had nurses to throw buckets of cold water on her every time she woke screaming from a nightmare. She would thank the doctors for chaining her to the walls and denying her food when she started to babble nonsense stories. Everyone see's the light. Dr. Roger makes you see the light. *ATTENTION!* If you want cheezy romance where the nerdy girl gets the bad boy or some teenagers wet dream or some erotica novel, then go else where. The Tales of Robin Hood
The ballad of Robin Hood, about a boy stealing from the rich to give to the poor, was told, and everyone in Robin's small village knew about it. You'd think that her name being in a rhyme wouldn't really affect her, but no. She was already unwanted, living in that orphanage, getting hit by the Head that seemed to hate all the girls. She is as hated as ever, and that ballad just seemed to make things worse. There is only one thing she truly owns, the red hooded cloak she was found wrapped in when she was a baby, and it seems to be her only escape. Then, one day, she cannot take it any longer. She needs to get away. She runs, tired of living life just to be hit and hated, unwanted by everyone. Her only escape is her hood, but that's no longer enough. Everyone hates her.
