Kelly Drake is not your typical teenager. She's never met her father nor her half-brother, doesn't go to school, prefers knives, swords, arrows, and other sharp objects over mobile phones and social media, and can pretty much kick the butt of anyone. Oh, and if that doesn't work, she could always use a little bit of magic, something she inherited from her clans in Valon, a world similar to Earth.

In this other place, dragons, unicorns, and other strange creatures coexist with folks gifted with mystical powers. This harmony is in danger of being disrupted by the ambitions of a man known as the Coroner. Reluctantly, Kelly will have to go to Valon for the first time in order to fulfill a prophecy that will prevent this conflict from escalating and possibly spilling over to Earth.
