Hell her mom always pushing her to get good grades in ALL subjects.It's just natural.Her mom wants her to at least become a doctor.Her mom is just way too obsessed and 'motivated' with her bestfriends' children that share the same age with Cassie . Yup all of them are smart , fast and 24/7 really well organized compared to Cassie .

It's just all a matter of the fact that she doesn't even want to be a slacker,
something's just constantly playing with her emotion .

Still something was telling me not to feel so free just yet, Something happened that affected me and all the people that I cared for, the people I held close to me. I took the risk of death for friends. I risked my self of my problems, the reason he was here was because of me, I'm not letting anybody get hurt because of my mistakes any longer.
