The energy in the room shifted. I could feel the thick current of anticipation permeating the air.
Groaning lightly, I slumped against the wall and let out a sigh, a mixture of pain and exhaustion.
The beast that had been watching the fight finally stepped out of the shadows and smiled patronizingly, "Darling, make sure you keep your eyes open as slowly remove the organs of your beloved."
'Kill! Kill! Kill!' My head didn't pain from my dark thoughts this time.
