Casted out of the underworld, protector of the shadows that lay silent on the walls. He's misunderstood by his name, a reputation tarnished by words of men. Erebus was the creator of chaos and shadows, the disasters of all ages. It wasn't his choice to be this dark being, it was assigned to him. He never liked causing pain, or dysphoria of any kind. Erebus lives by a moto, 𝘓𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘥𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴, 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵. He stands by it, finding a type of comfort in it all. Everyone finds it odd that a man such as himself can find peace in what he does. Erebus was created to be this monster, the villain of everyone's tragic play. But he breaks from the role, becoming this misunderstood, caring being. In times he can be cold, turning a shoulder away or not even batting an eye at the worst inconvenience. It's not him being vile, it's the voices that whisper softly in his ear. Beckoning him to a dark path that's been laid out for him. He has no friends, no family, no loved ones. He's alone. Perhaps there will be a day someone will understand him a little bit, take the time to know him. But until then, it is just him.
