**This is a sequel to Things We Lost.**
Two years after the alien attack in New York. Four and a half years of running from the past which will soon come back and bite Jessica Evans and Steve Rogers in the behind. Life in D.C. is different for the two of them when S.H.I.E.L.D. is compromised. What they don't expect is for an old friend to return. Will they be able to help him or will he kill them before they get the chance?
