Lucy Heartfilia is 22 years old. She was practically raised in the military base and spends a lot of time there. Her parents had the same title 'Sargeant Major of the army', but died in a bomb attack. Lucy never held any attachment to them, since she never really hung out with them due to wars. She was trained non stop after their deaths. She was told that she had to carry on their legacy. She never cared for war at all. But she also never had an idea of a different career path. She ends all her training, but doesn't go to war for unknown reasons.

Natsu Dragneel is 24 years old and is a 'Sargeant Major'. He has been to war plenty of times and came back in one piece. Many girls are head over heels for him, when he returns to Japan after a war with America that ended in the American people surrendering, he lived a normal life, besides all the popularity. He still goes to the Military base everyday. He is one of the strongest and smartest in Japan. He usually helps others with training and what not. He's a really nice guy despite his intimidating look.
