Marinette's parents would be on top, but they were scared of letting her know how much control she has. So they backed down from their position as second most powerful mafia gang. They're still powerful, but they hide as much as possible. Until she's forced to an arranged marriage with Adrien. Who's more curious about her than anything. Enjoy seeing them fall
