Virgil Night is the eldest prince from the Kingdom of Pravum. In fact, he's the only son born within the castle of the darkened kingdom hidden away within the largest forests of the continent, Viribus. His father, The King, Logan Night, is disliked by many of the pure citizens within Viribus. Especially within his rival Kingdom, Castitus, which takes up most of the continent.
Castitus is ruled by the King, Patton Blossom, who is big on morals and kindness as well as emotions. The complete opposite of his supposed rival who is all about intelligence and logic. He has no time for emotions. Even though neither are big on violence or war, they have refused to get along. After all, from the little things they know about each other, there's no way they could ever get along and rule peacefully. Or...so they think.
Patton's eldest son, by a few minutes, Roman Blossom is practically loved by all. He's always been the favorite between himself and his twin brother, Remus Blossom, even if no-one in his kingdom would admit it to Remus. Roman is the ideal prince and next in line for the throne. But, even with everything anyone could ever want or need, the prince is still curious about his Kingdom's enemy. The so-called "Darkened Kingdom"
Virgil Night, like the prince of the light side, is curious about his own rival kingdom. His father has always told him to stay away, but Virgil was never one to follow the rules. Besides, if it means rebelling against his stern father, then he'll do almost anything. This leads to both princes escaping their castles and adventuring to the other side.
However, neither prince would ever be able to expect what took place during their adventure nor what happened afterwards.
The question is... What did happen?
"I'm sorry, they found a what?"
The five years after the passing of King Victor had been very harsh on the kingdom of Eaden. No one would disagree with that. He had been a benevolent ruler and a kind man.
But everyone knew that his death had affected his son Thomas the most. Crowned king at the age of 24, and not having expected to rise to the position for years yet, Thomas had struggled to follow in his father's footsteps. He was getting much better, but it took time.
He had to thank his three advisors for that. The castle's experienced healer was his physician and confidant, a quick-witted and talented knight had proved his bravery and taken his spot as the kingdom's head of defense, and the tutor who had taught Thomas almost everything he knew as a child became his lead strategist. The three were like family to him, even if their occasional bickering set his nerves on edge.
And of course, the constant trouble that seemed to find them. Like now, for example, because King Thomas had just been informed that his Inner Circle had found a body of a young man in the moat of the castle.
