Mariko Hanover is a highschooler transferring back to Ouran just in time for the second year. She went to Ouran in elementary school, but the year before middle school, she transferred to a different school. One for commoners. She went to that school happily, and was content with her life, until her best friend, Hano, committed suicide.
Laced with guilt that she had no idea her best friend was feeling that way, she transferred back to Ouran to get away from it all. She went to school, and just like she expected, was completely forgotten by everyone, except for a select few, that is. No one seemed to remember her besides the Host Club. She was confused as to why these people from some of the most famous companies were in something as notorious as a Host Club, but she also frankly, didn't really care.
It didn't concern her, until one day, her economics sensei decided they were going to do a group project. Mariko already hates group projects but when she is paired with the President and Vice President of the Host Club, she hates them much more.
What happens when she goes to the Host Club for them one day, and sees a girl who used to go to her commoners school, stuck with them because of a debt? Well, she decides to join them and help out, of course. Then she realizes that everyone here, except for the President, seems to recognize her, as the girl who transferred away and dissapeared, many years ago. Now, joined as a baker and a maid, what happens when she finds the friends she's been missing all along? What happens if she could even possibly, find love?
Arabella Hashimoto lived a normal life as a little girl--until her father died; Arabella's world came crashing down as well as her mother's and younger brother's.
Now, years later, with Arabella hating her life in America, and her entire family reeling from an "incident", Arabella's mother decides it's time for a change and moves their family to Japan.
Arabella is then enrolled into Ouran Academy, where she's sure it will be the same as her old life in America; dull and boring. Then she met the Host Club; a group of attractive guys that do nothing but charm girls. And, when they force their friendship on Arabella, not knowing that she has trust issues as it is, Arabella is pulled into their club and forced to be a member. At first, Arabella is convinced she doesn't want or need their friendship--that was before one of the boys fell in love with her.
Will Arabella allow herself to love him back like she wants to? Or will her trust issues prevent their love from ever happening at all?
