Of course, there's always one rebel. One person who doesn't want fate to decide who they should love. They love who they want, when they want. They write their own destiny; they rewrite the scars.

Karsyn Beck is the school's playboy. He loves having fun and showing the stars his lovely middle finger. It's all fun for him, no strings attached, until the new girl comes and his heartstrings begin to strum profusely. He knows by their scars that she's not his soulmate, but that doesn't stop him. He chooses to rewrite his love story, sketching her into it, and scratching his true mate out.

Mallory Thompson likes to stay in the background. That's hard to do when she happens to be the Playboy's best friend. Unlike him, she likes to play by the rules of the universe. She knows who her soulmate is, but his stubbornness and her timid heart keep her from revealing the news to him, plus he's head over heels for another girl. Pushing her feelings aside, she decides to help him win the lucky girl over.

Master plans and broken hearts ensue when the duo teams up to challenge fate's design. Makeup may be able to cover up and create scars, but it cannot cover up what the stars have aligned for them.
