Evangeline es una chica calmada y estudiosa que nunca se ha enamorado. Se le hace absurdo que sus amigos lloren, gasten y digan cosas cursis por enamorarse. Pero algunas noches se pregunta "¿Qué se sentirá enamorarse?" "¿De verdad vale la pena hacer todo eso por una persona?"
Un día conoce a Oliver, un chico extrovertido y friki que le encantan las aventuras. Al principio ellos no se llevan bien ya que son muy diferentes entre sí, pero con el tiempo empiezan a llevarse mejor.
Todo iba bien entre ellos, hasta que un día, Evangeline tiene que mudarse ya que la universidad la cursaría en España. Al no querer olvidarse se les ocurre darse un beso de despedida.
Oliver y Evangeline piensan que pueden vivir sin el otro ya que no experimentaron una relación fuera de "conocidos casi amigos" pero Oliver por alguna razón empieza a sentir que la necesita a su lado, por lo que va a buscar a Evangelin sin saber que poco a poco ambos experimentan algo que nunca creían sentir por el otro.
