After much talking and frustration, her family learns of a ball they are invited to, and tell Clara it's a good time to get acquainted with wealthy families there. While Clara is there, she wants to meet someone she will fall in love with, and not just for the money. Later, after the ball, Clara has many decisions to make that will create chaos to her and her family.
