A texan Family, the McCraney's, inherit a lavish southern chateau from a rich relative they never knew existed. As they get settled, they go through practically impossible moments of bad luck and their animals start to slowly die off, for unknown reasons. What they don't realize is that once all the animals are gone, they are next. It quickly becomes evident something in this house never intends to let them live.
