Alexandra Williams has never been anyone but herself. She does everything she can to help other people, while also helping herself. When she starts receiving texts from someone she believed she'd never have to think about again, all of her hard-earned progress slowly begins to unravel.

Elliot Lewis never wanted to move the summer before his senior year, and neither did his three younger sisters. Moving away from his hometown meant he had to start completely over, leaving his late mother's beloved home behind.

As Alex learns to love herself for who she is and not what she does for others, Elliot learns to open up and not fear vulnerability, but as their bond grows, so does Elliot's guilt.
