Olympia Miller knew something wasn't right within her, she's been seeing weird things happening around her, she fears that the stories described in the books; the ones she found delight in might be true. Confronting this to her family members would only end-up disastrous and they might consider her to be insane; Doctors might even report her as mentally unfit, hence she turns a blind eye to everything she sees, hears and feels.
Her doubts and suspicions are confirmed, when a promising trip to Los Angeles turns into an ordeal. To top it all up, Olympia is commanded to put an end to the person she loved and admired the most, in order to save the people she holds close to her heart.
She has to kill a loved one to save loved ones.
