Pregnancy and childbirth is an experience like no other. In fact it is nothing short of a miracle. Thousands of babies are born every day but every experience is different. It is often portrayed as easy or taken for granted that it will all be plain sailing but as a mother myself I know this is not always the case.  
I went on a mission to bring to the women (and men) of the world the real truth about pregnancy, childbirth or the bit after. I had no intention of glamourising it, fluffing it up or padding it out. The women I have spoken with granted me access into their personal lives and shared their stories with me so I could share them with you. Their experiences shed a new light on pregnancy and childbirth and tell it how it really is. Some will make you laugh, some will make you cry and I guarantee every story is real.

A smile played on my face as I saw on the sheet of paper in my hands. "Congratulations, you are pregnant eight weeks, Miss Reel!" The doctor said. "Thanks, Doctor" I answered my eyes scan the result, I am pregnant .. I am going to be a mother soon. Although I am just 18 years old but I am happy to be a mother because my lover is very responsible, he promised to marry me after graduation and I am sure that he will be happy to hear this news! "Miss Reel, I am not trying to be a nosey, but I advice you not to keep this pregnancy" doctor said. I stopped smiled immediately, I raised my head "Do not keep this pregnancy?" He nodded "Why? " I asked "According to what I saw, your body is not ready to be a mother" now I just looked at him quietly. Does he know what he is saying? My body is not ready to be a mother? I was 16 years old when I found out that it was possible. I was living in an apartment with my boyfriend at that time. He and I took our high school classes online together. I met him when we were 14, just being dumb and clueless. I didn't know that I'll be his girlfriend at the age of 15 or that I was going to live on my own when I'm 16. I was just in my curious 14 year old body trying to get over my new monthly bleeding schedule. He and I wanted to become actors as a career, so we took college classes as well. At age 16, I worked 2 jobs at the mall and he was fixing cars at his father's garage shop. We were happy and in love. During our 16th year of age, we decided to do the big IT. It was amazing since we both took each others' virginity and luckily knew how to use condoms. It was impossible to stop. We did it non-stop, but that ended quickly when I stepped out of the bathroom with tears in my eyes. I was pregnant with Matthew Connor's baby. And I wasn't ready.
