Buried in the cemeteries on the outskirts of Malachi Peak are more than the bodies of past residents. With them rest hundreds of years worth of secrets, pushed down so far that they haven't seen the light of day. The witches, those left after the Salem Witch Trials, went west, desperate to find a new home. Prevailing, they settled in what would eventually be Malachi Peak, Oregon and became the first pentacle to consecrate the land.
On one fateful Halloween, today's Pentacle came together to complete their final bonding ceremony. As they were in the middle of it, darkness blanketed them. When they could finally see, one had just...disappeared.
Fast-forward a year, things are starting to fall apart. Whispers among the factions say the witches are weak, that it's time for new leadership. The witch is still missing. The year anniversary has passed of her disappearance. Most presume she is dead and others refuse to believe she's gone.
As powers escalate and the missing witch sends the Pentacle signs, the remaining members will have to unite to find her.

A few dark sabbatical years between university studies mark the past of Timothy, who has a few more memories, of a few more things, than he knows what to do with. He is now trying to restart a study path already once forsaken, in a human life that isn't quite his. A young man in a fragile human body, with a vampire's soul. With the start of a new academic year, he finds old acquaintances and new friends. Clover is a witch, with her magical powers equaling those of an oven glove. And she suspects one of their friends to be possessed by a demon. Lavender however is blissfully oblivious of her friend's suspicions and thinks she is losing her mind with vivid nightmares and huge gaps in her memory. Valentina, meanwhile, would be happy with just one recovered memory. She would love to know how she became tattooed, or even just what the Chinese character on her ankle means. But, as some of her friends know, the price of that one memory might be set higher than she is willing to pay. (There are some ethically interesting choices from the main characters, thus the mature rating. But nothing graficly shocking should be included, just a couple of murders discussed that could absolutely not be avoided.) (All characters are strictly fictional. I feel this should be highlighted, for while inspiration is always tied to the outer world, imagination composes a story out of it and colors the outcome with dreams and nightmares.) Jinri, mainly known as Jin just happened to be around the area and stopped Alison from doing something that she would regret doing once it's already done, she saw in Alison's eyes loneliness and someone that hasn't been loved, so she decided to change that, even if she's been in countless relationships and been in love more than she can count. You ask, how is that possible? Well, Jinri been around for thousands of years or even more, cause of the fact that she blends in with the human world, being the only vampire alive, or so she thought.
